Question

I had a rhinoplasty a few years ago that has left me with an exposed columella.

After researching, I have found fixing a hanging columella is something that can be done under local anaesthetic. Is this something you offer at your clinic?

Answer

In some instances, you are right a columella overhang can be corrected under local anaesthetic.

I would still have to use an operating theatre facility rather than my practice, but obviously the costs would be proportionate with a small intervention.

To begin with, it is possible at the time of the consultation to evaluate the degree of change that you seek, and based on that to determine the treatment plan.
