Question

I am considering rhinoplasty and had some questions I'd be grateful if you could help me with:

  1. I have some hairs that grow from the surface of my nose that I currently have to pluck periodically. What would be your advice as best how to proceed towards surgery - as I would not want these to regrow and cause problems/infection after my operation.

  2. I also have quite bad pores from teenage acne/blackheads and again - would want these not to be visible post surgery. What would be your advice on removing these or minimising their appearance?

  3. Please could you give me an estimate of how much the rhinoplasty (and any other procedures you may have recommended) would cost, along with details of any finance options available.

Answer

  1. laser treatment is probably the best option available. Electrolysis is the alternative. You can either use these treatments prior to the surgery by a few months, or following the surgery again after several months.

  2. treatments that minimise the appearance of the pores include chemical peels, laser treatment, Obagi Protocols, micro-needling. I would suggest starting with the Obagi Protocols since it is relatively effective and least expensive.

  3. I am afraid that for the time being I do not have an option for finance for treatments provided in practice.
