Asked on 15 February 2012
I had a breast reduction in one breast around 15 or so years ago as one of my breasts had not developed as much as the other so I had one reduced.
The operation went well, but over the years the reduced breast has relaxed and is again quite disproportional to the other, I think I would want to look at having another reduction in this breast again rather than an implant in the other but would like to speak to someone regarding this.
Your description suggests that either I repeat breast reduction or just a breast uplift may be an appropriate solution. It is rare but not unheard of for one breast to continue growing slowly, and to require several interventions throughout life to control the symmetry.
The more common situation though is that the breast that was larger is also softer and have a more significant tendency towards sagging over time, whereas the smaller breast is firmer and retains its shape better.
I would be happy to discuss this in consultation and if you would like to book an appointment, kindly contact my practice either by telephone at 0207 486 7757 or by email at contact@aesthetic-plastic-surgery.co.uk and my team will be delighted to assist you.
