Question

I have had an ethnic silastic implant done on my nose to raise the bridge.

However I am not happy and would like to have it removed, make my nasal and tip of my nose smaller and have the bridge raised with my own cartilage instead. Please advise.

Answer

In general, I would advocate for a situation like this using a rib cartilage graft to support the framework.

It would be useful at the time of consultation to bring some photographs of your nose from before the surgery, in order to understand more clearly what is the natural shape of the bones and cartilages.

Based on a computer simulation for the treatment plan, it is possible to advise you regarding the options.
