I have had two C-sections. One emergency c-section during violent contractions as I was induced 3 times and an elective c-section as my pelvis was too small to deliver.
I asked for scar reduction the second time and I was refused. I have an ugly hideous overhang over my scar which is affecting me profoundly. I asked my GP for a tummy tuck on the NHS and I was refused.
I have back problems and believe my overhang is contributing to this. I cannot afford to go private at all.
Is there any way I can get a tummy tuck procedure completed by a trainee surgeon under supervision?
With regards to surgery being carried out by training under supervision, it is not an option I can assist you with.
I know that there are some centres that provide training in aesthetic surgery around the UK, but as far as I have heard in the past, this is with reduced costs rather than no charges.
Perhaps if you enquire with the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, they might have some information about aesthetic surgery training fellowships and you could enquire with the organising centres.
