Are you able to give a more rounded shape to ears that are slightly pointed at the top?
And are you able to take the ears down and in a little bit so that they are not so long?
It is possible to adjust the shape and size of the top of the ears, and there are several techniques available.
The options include either reduction and reshaping of the top of the ear with an external approach and therefore a fine scar over the rim of the top of the ear, or an approach through the back of the ear with reshaping of the cartilage without skin removal.
The 2nd approach takes longer to heal, and is associated with more prolonged swelling, but may be better suited for patients that wish to avoid any visible scar.
