Do you use dissolvable stitches for facial liposuction and blepharoplasty?

Question

I am interested in having facial liposuction and blepharoplasty together.

However just wondering if for these procedures you could use dissolvable stitches. I live in Birmingham and it would be easier for me to not have to come back down to London to get the stitches removed.

Answer

For facial liposuction I typically use dissolvable stitches. With regards to blepharoplasty, I normally use non-absorbable stitches which are removed and one week.

It is however possible to organise for removal of the sutures in a local hospital, to avoid an early travel to London.
