Question

I am a 25 year old female. I am looking to undergo rhinoplasty to shorten the length of my nose but have rosacea - spots, redness and lots of open pores on my cheeks and chin (nothing really visible on my nose).

I know you can't speak for me personally without seeing me but do you know of anyone with rosacea who has undergone this procedure?

I understand that my healing time may be longer and there's a possibility of worsening the rosacea but is it still possible to have this procedure?

Answer

It is possible to carry out the treatment for improvement in the appearance of the nose in the context of rosacea affecting mainly the midface, but at the same time I would strongly recommend discussing with a dermatologist regarding treatment which will inevitably continue past the surgical intervention.
