I am seeking otoplasty revision. I have had 2 ops and am still not happy. I want the tops of the ear closer to the head so they are not bat like. Can you do this? What are the limitations because I have already had 2 ops?
Sometimes, a reduction in the upper pole of the ears is the answer for creating the impression that the shape is more balanced.
Other techniques would also have to rely on decreasing the strength of support to the upper part of the ear and securing it in a position closer to the head. Undoubtedly, the ears do have to have some space between them and the skull, in order to look normal.
