I have thick lips which I like but at the same time my mouth is wide. When I smile it covers half of my cheek and its very much visible.
Is there any such surgery available so I can reduce the wideness of my mouth and thinning of the lips?
Before you start to contemplate surgical interventions to reduce the size of the mouth, I would advocate using botulinum toxin to the muscles that widen the mouth when smiling, as this may be sufficient treatment for you, although it would need to be repeated.
The advantage however is the access of the scars as well as reversibility and to my mind it presents a valuable opportunity to understand whether it is indeed the type of change that you would like.
