I would like a revision otoplasty. I have already had one op, is that a problem in any way?

The main part of the ear is fine, I just would like the top part (the rim at the very top) closer to the head without making the rest of the ear closer.

When correcting the promise of the upper of the ears, the procedure has two take in consideration of the characteristics of the cartilage (whether softer or firmer), the vertical dimensions of the ear and the aspirations of the patient.

It is important to appreciate that space between the head and the ear is needed, and will be on its own limitation to how close ears can move compared to the head. When the size of the upper part of the ears is somewhat excessive, it is possible to combine a reduction with shape change..

When only shape change is needed, the operations that can make it happen involved the reshaping the cartilage either with sutures or with more expensive intervention to weaken the firmer cartilage and reshape it.
