Question

I am interested in having buccal fat pad removal. What are the chances of the removal of fat looking uneven or puckered?

Answer

Since buccal fat reduction is taking place at a deep level, the chance of skin irregularities is minimal and is mostly a consideration later in life when the skin becomes thinner. This would be more likely to a ffect someone who is naturally slightly gaunt.

The general discussion regarding buccal fat reduction incorporates advice about the long term implications. Overall, if the family trend is towards rounder facial contours, buccal fat reduction is likely to remain a positive change throughout life. If the trend is towards a gaunt appearance later in life, buccal fat reduction is probably best avoided.
