Tertiary open tip rhinoplasty following to primary interventions in different centre through a closed and subsequently open approach. Significant residual asymmetry of the nasal bridge and tip improved through the tertiary intervention, reduction of the residual convexity of the nasal bridge and correction of the impression of down pointing nasal tip. Noted that the visibility of the nostrils from the front has not increased despite the shorter appearance of the nose.

Open tip primary ethnic rhinoplasty to produce a narrower overall appearance of the bridge and tip of the nose, and to correct the slightly convex contour of the bridge, associated with down pointing appearance of the tip on profile. The individual characteristics of the patient allowed for the correction to take place without using rib cartilage grafting. Visibility of the nostrils from the front is essentially unchanged despite the rotation of the tip.

Open-tip reduction rhinoplasty. The patient's concerns were related to moderate over projection of the nasal tip, the presence of a bump on the bridge of the nose, a degree of deviation of the bridge of the nose on the front and wide nasal tip. The characteristics of the tip of the nose involved moderately wide cartilages and intermediate to thick nasal tip skin creating a parenthesis deformity. The correction involved reduction of the size and width of the nasal tip cartilages, reduction and resetting of the support of the bridge of the nose, shortening of the tip. Note minimal difference in the visibility of the nostrils from the front view despite nasal tip shortening.

Primary open-tip reduction rhinoplasty. Preoperative concerns related to nasal bridge deviation and width, slightly wide nasal tip excess nasal tip length and projection and slightly strong nasal bridge, giving a more masculine appearance to the nose. The intervention aimed to create a softer nasal contour, with narrowing of the tip and the bridge, significant reduction in the nasal length and reduction in projection of the nasal tip and bridge. Note that visibility of the nostrils from the front is essentially unchanged despite the significant shortening (up turning) of the tip.

The intervention involved enhancement of the bridge of the nose for definition, enhancement of the support of the nasal tip for definition and slight shortening, and slight reduction in the width and bulk of the nostrils.

Primary open-tip rhinoplasty for correction of the nasal bump and reduction of the projection of the tip of the nose and increased definition of the tip from the front and profile. A reduction of the anterior nasal spine at the base of the nose reduces the appearance of upward pull on the upper lip. A small chin reduction procedure was associated with the nose reshaping for improved balance of the profile.

The surgery involved reduction of the bone and cartilage framework of the nose, nasal tip shortening with no alteration in the nasolabial angle (parallel shortening), and narrowing of the cartilages of the tip. Note that from the front view the visibility of the nostrils is essentially unchanged despite the shortening.

Primary open-tip reduction rhinoplasty, for correction of moderately wide nasal tip with slight deviation, moderate excess nasal projection and length. Reduction of the nasal tip width (boxy nasal tip) associated with correction of the deviation and slight shortening as well as lowering of the bridge of the nose. The view from below demonstrates the narrowing effect on the nasal tip, together with correction of the deviation of the columella and improved symmetry of the nostrils. Minimal visibility of the columella scar, and in the essentially no increase visibility of the nostrils from the front despite the increased nasolabial angle (nasal shortening).

The surgery involved reduction and the reshaping of the nasal tip cartilages, reduction of the cartilage and bone support of the bridge of the nose, slight narrowing of the bridge and shortening of the tip.
